Byron Drinkle - President
Byron leads the Fusion Cine team with abundant energy and positive attitude. He has over 20 years of experience in the Film and Television industry. He has a commitment to excellent customer service and in the past five years he went from Head of Broadcast and Post Production to President of Fusion Cine. Film and television production have always been a part of Byron's life. In his high schools days he worked with a community television company where he shot and edited various events. In University he won both local and international awards for his work. Byron's production experience includes on-location film/video production, as well as coordination and management of the computer/video playback departments for various Hollywood TV series and feature films. Byron also spent many years successfully managing the camera and post production departments in the Vancouver branch of the largest HD video rentals facility in Canada. When Byron isn’t at the Fusion Cine office, you can find him spending time with his two daughters, running obstacle races and hiking up the Grouse Grind.
Nathan Holley - Sales Manager
Nathan is the Sales Manager at Fusion Cine with 15 years of knowledge and experience in the Film and Television industry. A graduate from Film School at the Art Institute of Vancouver, as well as specializes in turn-key video system solutions for the broadcast, professional and the cinematic world. Nathan has also worked as a freelance videographer and editor, working with a number of clients on films, commercials, documentaries, EPKs, music videos and live concerts. He spent five years working as an HD Camera Technician & Service Tech at Plus-8 and Panavision, where he prepped and serviced high end cinematic video gear, engineered and maintained multicam/camera chain equipment and provided technical support for on-set digital imaging technicians. When Nathan is not at work he enjoys playing ice hockey, soccer, playing guitar & piano and spending time with his Wife and 2 Daughters.
Andy Watkins - Broadcast & Systems Integration
Andy is known for his hands on approach, attention to detail and relaxed demeanor. His talents are wide-reaching and has positioned him as the niche service expert at Fusion Cine. Whether he is creating a broadcast system for a house of worship, a live conference or even an entertainment event, Andy always knows what to do. His experience comes from launching his own equipment rental company in the UK and working across Europe in production and broadcast television. During that time he mastered design of TV systems and studios, understanding the infrastructure and technology to create complete solutions for clients’ needs. Andy’s UK company also invested time in Africa working with mission organizations and NGO's in Nigeria and Uganda setting up micro-video units for the production of training programs.
Darren Robertson - Rentals and Engineering Manager
Darren is well known in the Film and Television industry and recognized for being able to solve any technical problem. His experience comes from working for CBC in their transmitter maintenance division, in the engineering department and as an engineer and manager for an international digital equipment rental company. Darren has acquired over 100 credits on several feature films and major television series. Darren is also a Broadcast Engineer and a certified Motion Picture Video Coordinator and Digital Imaging Technician at IASTE. When Darren isn’t at Fusion, you can find him either riding his motorcycle or hanging out with his son.
Mark Todorovic - Post Division Manager
An IT industry veteran, Mark has over 20years’ of experience working in the field. The last nine years focusing mostly on post production for the television and industry in Vancouver. Starting with Fusion in 2009 as Post Production IT Specialist, today, he leads the team in the Post division. Mark holds various computer and networking related accreditations, and is also certified by Avid Technology as Media Composer ACSR. When Marks not in the office he enjoys spending his time with his family in the great outdoors or cheering on the Vancouver Canucks.
Gary Meyers - Technical Services
Gary is the know it all when it comes to Sony Camera’s and is the top technical resource for Sony in Canada. Gary is the only Sony Camera technician in western Canada so you can say he’s quite the expert and is a great addition to the Fusion team. Before working with Sony, Gary worked for a Calibration Laboratory and Electronic Test and measurement repair facility. He also owned a consumer electronics depot. When Gary’s not fixing and repairing cameras, he enjoys restoring, repairing and collecting antique radios and televisions. Gary has volunteered for the Lions Club but now spends his Saturdays volunteering at the SPCA with his youngest daughter.
Jan Caynap - Ecommerce Web Developer
Jan is our Ecommerce Web Developer and is passionate about web developing and enjoys creating websites. He has a certificate from BCIT in Senior Management with Distinction. At Fusion Cine, he is always updating and improving our website to create an excellent experience for our online customers. Jan is always learning and developing new skills in web programing and design. When Jan isn’t sitting behind a computer screen, he enjoys working out and practicing Capoeira, which is a type of Brazilian martial arts.
Ben Milling - Rentals Coordinator
Ben is Fusion Cine rentals coordinator and has a lot of knowledge and experience when it comes to the film and production industry. He has Engineering degree in Audio Visual Media Technology and another Engineering degree in Digital Media. Ben worked in New York as a live sound and lighting engineer and an A.V. Technician. He built a 5 room recording and rehearsal studio and set up his own company BMV Productions that made television and web adverts and motion graphics. Ben recently moved to Vancouver and in his spare time he enjoys taking photos, watching videos, listening to music and GTA V.
Pat Higgins - Equipment Prep Technician
Pat is another new member to Fusion Cine team and is our equipment prep technician. Pat has a passion for all things to do with production. He has a diploma from BCIT in Television and Video Production and has worked as a producer at Delta T.V. for the past four years. When Pat isn’t working at Fusion you can find him at Canucks games as a in house broadcaster. Pat’s other interests besides cameras and production is music. He is a very talented piano player and comes from a very successful musical family.
Daryl Thompson - Inside Sales
Daryl is our technical inside salesman and comes to us with lots of knowledge of the video and production industry. He graduated from Vancouver Film School and is a go to video production director/editor in Vancouver for entertainment and business projects. Daryl is a seasoned photographer with an extensive portfolio of album covers, portraits and editorial fashion photography.
Dominik Marciniec - Inside Sales
Dominik is the newest member to the Fusion Cine team and he is joining Daryl as an inside salesman. Dominik has a degree in Communications Media and Film from the University of Windsor. After graduating he went and spent almost two years in South Korea as a post-production supervisor. When Dominik isn’t helping customers at Fusion Cine, you can find him directing at Holy Mountain Films, cooking or watching wrestling.
Korie Kessel - Outside Sales
Korie joins the Fusion Cine team as an outside salesperson and comes with over 18 years of experience in the production industry. She has worked in large film equipment companies in both sales and rentals, and her experience ranges from full studio design to lighting & rigging for live entertainment tours and corporate events. Korie always gives 110% to clients and is always happy to help. When Korie isn’t at Fusion Cine you can find her on her boat with her husband, son and two dogs.
